Visit WebsiteAs a large plastics manufacturing company with 18 facilities housing over 3.5M square feet of manufacturing space, Axium Packaging wanted to work with an experienced web design and development firm that could help them redesign their website. Axium leadership felt their current website was not impressive visually or structurally and didn’t match the prowess of a company of their size and place within their industry. The goal was straightforward—Axium wanted to represent its entrepreneurial culture and award-winning sustainable products more fully. They wanted to redesign or re-skin their site to give a more sustainable and modern brand vibe, relay their *Fast, Focused, Flexible* message, and attract customers and talent.
Havenoro was engaged to redesign the Axium website with the primary objective of attracting and retaining customers and talent, while emphasizing the company’s commitment to a more sustainable presence through the use of recycled materials and renewable energy. The new sister organization, Vertix, a plastics recycling group, was being launched concurrently and would require a new website as part of the second phase of this project. Initially, Havenoro’s team of a project manager and designers reviewed and analyzed the client’s competitors, including their secondary and tertiary audiences, as well as primary customers, and recommended a rebrand from Axium Plastics to Axium Packaging. This was in-line with the company’s strategy to redirect the focus of their business from plastics to the more general and sustainability-friendly ‘packaging’ terminology. Havenoro Brandtenders designed the large ‘X’ design in the hero header that flowed down the page and used company videos of their manufacturing process to create movement and flow guiding visitors further along down the home page. The ‘X’ was used throughout the website to create a cohesive design along with a strong, vivid blue color palette. Additionally, the site structure was revamped to follow a strong menu of capabilities and innovations, while also guiding potential job seekers to the Careers Page or those wanting to learn more about recycling and sustainable solutions to the Sustainability Page. Content was then added in a collaborative effort with the client, followed by extensive SEO to ensure search engine success post launch. As a large organization with many moving parts, communication and channels of approval required strong project management with ongoing weekly working meetings and collaboration on multiple levels. Once the design was approved, development brought the project to conclusion with a successful QA and testing phase followed by a successful launch.
Axium was exceedingly pleased with their rebranded site and has retained Havenoro to do future re-skins of the Axium Packaging website, as well as additional websites for new developments, e.g., Vertix.
