Something Wicked Games

Something Wicked Games treats its homepage as a front door rather than a poster. Something Wicked Games has generated a lot of industry buzz with its work developing Wyrdsong, a preternatural RPG set in a semi-historical Middle Ages Portugal. Imagery and atmosphere do most of the work on the first screen, with navigation kept deliberately quiet. The overall effect is a site that knows what it is for and guides visitors accordingly.

The site's strongest asset is its sense of priority. The homepage resists the urge to say everything at once, and that choice makes the central message land. Atmosphere is used deliberately: it sets the tone without making schedules or practical details hard to find. That balance is what turns a well-designed page into a useful one. For Something Wicked Games, that clarity is what makes the page useful to both new and returning visitors.
